A massive shift is happening in Jerusalem that has captured the attention of prophecy watchers, theologians, and online algorithms alike. This is because the First International Congress of Noahides will be taking place next week from November 2–6, 2026.
Marketed as an initiative promoting universal morality, the congress has triggered debate and doomsday fears in some Christian circles. While organisers describe the movement as a peaceful pursuit of biblical ethics, critics are questioning its growing institutional structure and what its expansion could mean for Christianity.
What Are Noahide Laws?
In Jewish tradition, the Seven Laws of Noah are viewed as a universal moral framework given by God to all of humanity where non-Jews do not need to convert to Judaism to be righteous or secure a place in heaven. Instead, they are required to keep the Seven Laws of Noah: and a non Jew who keeps them is considered a “righteous Gentile“, or simply a Noahide.
So, are these laws found in the Bible? Well, not as a list, and certainly not as given to Noah. The first six laws come from different parts of the Bible, but the seventh doesn’t.
So Christianity doesn’t recognize the extra biblical concept of the Noahide Laws per se, but there are verses like in Acts Chapter 15:20, that says: “Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood”
Why They’re Organizing This Congress?
According to the Noahide Center officials, over the last couple of decades, thousands of non-Jews across North America, Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia have independently chosen to leave traditional religions like Christianity or secularism to follow the Seven Laws of Noah.
They claim the movement has finally reached a critical mass where shared international infrastructure is needed.
Organisers describe the upcoming congress as “a foundation, and not a mere conference.” Their stated objectives include:
- Signing an official Founding Charter.
- Electing six continental councils to coordinate regional activities.
- Establishing an international Beit Din (Rabbinical Court) dedicated to Noahide affairs.
These Are The 7 Noahide Laws.
The 7 Noahide Laws that every human must keep, regardless of who we are or from where we come. .
- Do not worship idols – reject all other forms of what is considered to be idolatrous, of false worship.
- Do not blaspheme god – your speech is sacred. Speak respectfully about the creator. Don’t just blame God for everything that’s wrong. Have an attitude of gratitude and thank God everything that’s right instead of living with a sense of entitlement.
- Do not murder – The sanctity of life. A person has to reject the concept of murder, even suicide is also murder.
- Do not commit sexual immorality – uphold marriage as a reflection of divine oneness.
- Do not steal – Live with honesty. And that means not to steal things that belong to other people
- Do not eat flesh taken from a living animal – Do not torture animals. Being cruel to any living creature is cruel and wrong, unethical, immoral, and once again a violation of God’s will.
- Establish courts of justice to enforce these laws – Support righteous courts and laws. And what makes them righteous is when all people are treated equally.
According to Rabbi Mendel Kaplan, in Noahide laws, suicide is also murder. It’s not your life. Meaning it’s not your life to do as you please, it belongs to God.
The Core Fear: The Capital Punishment Clause
Notably, there is a claim what the Jews will behead those who do contrary to these laws according to the Torah, Kings and Wars 9:14

However, Rabbi Dr. Eldon Clem, dismisses the claim that these laws are looking to execute and behead Christians and other unbelievers – citing in his YouTube channel that these laws are also on the Christian bible.
He also says it is a conspiracy theory that Jews plan on imposing the Noahide laws on the whole world. Rabbi’s like Yosef Mizrachi is very clear that for murder, the offenders will be executed for sure according to the Noahide laws.
Why Christian Leaders and Theologians Feel Threatened:
First I think it’s obviously because the Jews view Christians and Muslims as Gentiles and idol worshipers. Rabbi Yosef and Rabbi Breitowitz are very clear about this in his teachings. I’m tempted to side with Rabbis here 😴😂
The modern strict interpretation used by the Noahide World Center demands the rejection of Jesus as divine. Worshipping a God in Father, Son, Holy Spirit or believing that God took human form is considered a violation of the monotheistic standard for Jews and is classified as a form of “idolatry
Evangelicals and missionaries are viewing the movement as an active spiritual counteroffensive designed to de-convert Christians and prevent the spread of the Gospel, pulling believers away from the Church.
The Evangelicals are saying that the language used by the 2026 Noahide Congress triggers immense eschatological “end-times and doomsday” anxiety.
So, Who is Behind It?
The movement is driven by Brit Olam (The Noahide World Center), based in Jerusalem. Led by prominent Orthodox rabbis and backed by high-level endorsements from Israel’s Chief Rabbinate, Israel President Isaac Herzog and other government ministers, the organizers are building permanent infrastructure.
Are these Noahide laws scary? What do you think and will you be a follower?
