Most of us ladies tend to think that being “nice” to others, including the undeserving, will earn us favours in the world. However, there’s no Return On Investment in most relationships, and this is the hard truth about Love, Friendships, Family & Work!

We were taught that if you love right, give fully, stay loyal, and do your part, things will work out. That effort guarantees outcomes. That good people get good returns.

But life doesn’t run on fairness, and it has never.

And people are not investments you can control.

The truth and reality are uncomfortable

Not every place you pour into will pour back into you.

And once you understand that, you start moving with intention and with less disappointment.

In any emotional investment involving human beings, there are no guarantees.

People change.

People get bored.

People move on.

People grow, sometimes with you, sometimes away from you.

People will choose new paths, new priorities, new versions of and for, THEMSELVES.

And sometimes, people will simply not choose YOU, and they have every right not to.

No warning. No closure. No clear reason.

You must learn to accept that and keep moving.

So how do we navigate this?

🟢Give only what you are willing to lose: time, money, energy, even love.

🟢Love and respect yourself first; others will take cues from you.

🟢Set firm, unapologetic boundaries.

🟢Do not tolerate liars, backbiters, or thieves.

🟢Keep your word; integrity builds quiet power.

🟢Be willing to walk away from people and situations that cost you your peace.

🟢Choose peace; go your way, because absence speaks louder than constant confrontation with people. Even if it’s your siblings.

Move like someone who knows their value, because the moment you stop overextending, the right people will be with you, while the other group falls off.
